New builds & Changelogs

Here we will add updates on new builds available on Steam (usually GOG gets the new builds at the same time, but there are exceptions).

Some builds are still in QA but might fix some problems, so you can give them a try if you have a serious issue with the game. You will find these builds on the beta branch (Steam only feature).

To access the beta branch you need to:

1. Go into your Steam library;
2. Right click on Realpolitiks II on your game's list;
3. Click on "Properties...";
4. Click on "Betas";
5. From the drop-down menu choose the "betatest" branch.

New build: 90% of save problems now fixed on beta branch (EDIT: Now on main branch, so no additional action required) | war theater fix
Hi everyone! Thank you all for your logs and save - only thanks to you we were able to fix 90% of saves bugs.
At the moment, the errors that caused the corruption of the save from these 10% of the total percentage should be fixed - we are currently trying to restore these savings as well. We apologize for the inconvenience - give us some time and we'll sort everything out. If you had problems loading a saved game, please try the build that is on the beta branch - most problems should be resolved here, but please - remember that we are still testing this version and this is not an official update.

People who have had trouble loading the battlefield can find a solution here - in the game options you need to change the quality of graphics on the battlefield.

To access the beta branch you need to:

New build v.068 on beta branch.


On the beta branch you can find new builds that are currently being tested by us. The stability of these versions is uncertain, but they include the latest changes and fixes. As soon as the beta version is tested it becomes the official version (and if it has additional bugs a new build will be prepared).
